Philadelphia, recognized the venue very well and remember last time I played there was with Kamelot supporting Nightwish. I slept in very late, since I wasn’t able to sleep during the night, so I basically didn’t do anything before the show. First time I performed in Philly was in China Town, so I’ve seen that. 🙂
The show went great, another night with really good respond from
the audience. Thank you so very much! I lt was nice spending time with some of you after the show. I loved the painting.. 😉
Day off in Baltimore
Today we had a day off again, and I finally got time to go shopping. I have by far had the best ‘day off’ on this tour today. Started out at Hard Rock Cafe and drank a big cold glass of water, haha. Had a coffee at Panera. After that I found a mall with lots of cool stores. I bought “smell good things” at Bath & Body, and some stuff at Victoria’s Secret. I also found something I’ve needed for a very long time, something very mature and functional… a watch!
🙂 I also got myself a 20 minute neck, and back, massage. Then I had dinner at Cheesecake Factory, and talked one hour in phone with three different interviewers from Australia. Amaranthe is planning to go there next year, it would be awesome. One place we have not been to so far. Now it is time to hit the bed. Sleep well everyone! 🙂 Kisses and hugs!
Baltimore
I got the opportunity to really get to know this city during the last three days! Baltimore is a place worth visiting, I’ve had a fantastic time here. The show last night was fantastic! The audience were adorable. 🙂 The venue/club was probably the most odd and cool club I’ve ever seen! It had many different floors and non of the walls were straight, except the one behind the stage. For the first time on this tour I experienced that the sound came out really weird in my head. The sound probably jumped, hit the walls and came
back in a different way. I always keep one ear open so that I can hear the audience. By using my muscle memory I continued to deliver as good as I could – with one ear hearing one key, and the other another. Haha! It was Amaranthe’s first time in Baltimore, and I believe it won’t be the last. 🙂 I also want to thank the sweet people I met before and after the show. I’m looking forward to see you again! Remember – You are invincible!

Montreal
All right, here we go! Montreal, two words, great succes!! 😀 During our day off we went to a Sports Bar for Dinner, and then I hooked up with Justine and brought all the guys (almost) to see Lacuna Coil play live at Corona Theatre. The next day I slept very long, went back to that same sports bar and ate a salad. I got the honor to meet some fans and sign autographs. I got three red very beautiful roses, and a early birthday bag filled with garden picked, red, fresh apples. Thank you! They taste amazing! :)) During the show I was in extace, I was high on how load the audience were, our sound guy told us you guys screamed in 109 db! Thank you, love you!! I got the honor to meet another close friend, Alissa. I had so much fun in Canada, wished we cold have
stayed a little bit longer. 🙂
Toronto
Just stepped of the stage here in Toronto! Thanks for a fantastic response! 🙂 Here we saw the real big mosh pit happen, during Drop Dead Cynical. 😀 Totally Fantastic!! We arrived pretty earlier this morning. I woke up around 12, I wanted to swim in the pool because the sun was shining and it was really warm, but as soon as I was ready it started to rain. So I spent
the whole day in the bus. Oh, we had an interview as well. Tomorrow we have a day
Detroit
Detroit – Probably the loudest audience so far, omg! Haha 😀 Loved the show. I visited Detroit with Kamelot couple of years ago for the first time. It felt awesome to be back, I know many bands doesn’t go there. Like when we did the Nightwish tour we didn’t go to Detroit. Anyways, first I woke up around 2.30… I had breakfast, McDonald’s was the only place near what we could see. :/ And then I had an interview with the sweetheart Lance from Raw Radio. Then I went for a walk and I fount out the hood was really cosy. Lots of shops, a massage place and all that. Didn’t have time to go though cause we had to load the stage and do soundcheck. We had dinner at the venue and then it was time for the show. 🙂 Everything went great, besides that Johan’s base broke so he disappeared half way through the show. Shit happens as we speak, 😉 still managed to pull of an incredible show thanks to the positive audience. :))
After the show I met a guy I been longing to meet for a very long time. His name is Josh and he have made beautiful, special tattoos on his arm. After some time we had like 6 guests on the bus. It was crowded. At 12 Johan’s birthday started so we sang for him and everybody started to drink even more than before. I drank cocoanut water, haha. Anyways. We all had to stay awake since we were crossing the boarder to Canada. Bus left the venue at two, our guests left the bus of course, and we arrived to the boarder at 3. Everything went smooth, I was tired like hell. But then I went from being tired to not tired at all. So we ended the night in a crazy way. Me, Olof, Johan and Henrik jumped into his bunk and started to tell Ghost stories. I got so scared and almost not able to sleep. But well, then I realized that being in a tour bus is probable the less Ghost friendly place to be at.
Hope to be back in Detroit soon to meet you all again. 🙂 Kisses and hugs!
Chicago
Chicago – simply amazing! One of the bands favorite show so far. I appreciate all kinds of crowd, but it always makes it a little bit easier to improvise and just kind of get crazy on stage, and have fun, when the audience is. I know it’s up to the band to create that emotion, especially as the supporting act. I’m very grateful for that spirit you created for us. I had a fantastic time! The day started a little chaotic. Person related issues made my morning a nightmare. I hate waking up crying, it kind of makes the rest of the day tough. But I had to keep it together and focus on the positive things. I went to eat breakfast at Einstein Bagels around 1 o clock. Christian and Mike came with me. After that we had one interview and then a guy filmed a very famous “Cribs” of our tour bus. That was veeery fun! 🙂 Then, a girlfriend of mine Grace Méridan, that I’ve actually met through Sabrina Cruz on Facebook, came by to hang out with me. We went to Starbucks for a coffee. After that I had soundcheck. Then, as usual, I did my makeup and got dressed in my bus, I like to do it there so I don’t have to drag my stuff around all the time. Well, then we played the show, and I already wrote what I think about that. 🙂 I was very exited and happy, so I joined Grace and her girl friend in the balcony to see Within Temptations show. Amazing, the crowed loved them, and they loved the crowd. I went to use the shower before their show ended, afterwords we had a huge party in the bus. I ate cookies and drank water, it was lots of fun. Oh, and I got the chance to meet some from the audience and sign autografs. Plenty of them hadn’t here’d of us before, I was happy to hear that Within Temptations fans also seemed to like us. I went to bed around 4.30… Long day. Biggest Hug to you! 🙂 Hope to see you soon!
Minneapolis
Hey guys and thank you for an amazing evening!
Let’s go back to the trip to Minneapolis… I think each member slept around 2-3 h, because apparently the roads where bumpy as hell. It feet like being in a roller coaster, actually pretty fun. 🙂 I still could sleep ok. I went with my friend Mike to eat breakfast, at Starbucks, and then we bought Swedish-American converters for the stage. I got stuck at a really nice clothing store where I spent like one hour trying out different stage outfits. Couldn’t find any that felt great though. After that I went for soundcheck, then I changed clothes and put on my stage make and then Showtime at 7, one hour earlier than usually. The crowed was greeaaat!! 🙂 I could again see plenty of familiar faces, among the new ones.
After the show I met Nathan, an old friend who took me, Simone and Kamelot to probably one of the nicest restaurants in town about 5 years ago. Me and Simone ate a lot more than the boys, and I remember Nathan got very shocked. :p Haha! I also for once had the chance to chat a bit with The guys and girl from Within Temptation. It was great to finally getting the chance to hang out with some new flesh. We ate dinner at the place beside the venue called Depot, I had an strawberry salad which was great.
I got told later that night that the movie “Purple rain” was filmed at that same venue we played in. Really cool! 😀 And apparently another band plate next door from where we were, Sharon went over there and bought an album, check if out if your interested in hearing what they sounds like. 🙂
Oh, and btw we got a friend from Gothenburg visiting us today, his name is Christian and he will be traveling with us for the rest of the tour.
Kisses and hugs!
Trinity
Day off in Omaha!
The bus driver stopped by Walmart to buy cleaning products and some other stuff for the bus, I bought smell good things to put in my bunk so it’ll smell fresh where I sleep.
🙂 We arrived around six a clock in the evening at America Inn, suites hotel. Me, Olof Martin Müller and Mike Greenfield went to PC Chang’s for dinner. It’s actually one of my favorite restaurants here in America. After that I went to Whole Foods and bought more of that homemade hummus I love. 😛 Then I had a shower, and then I went to bed.
Amaranthe covers INFERNO! :)
Denver
Oh good lord, I’m back in Denver, the city where all happens. I have played here with Kamelot twice, Nightwish once and soon twice with Amaranthe. It always feels very special for me to come back to Denver since I have a special history here. 🙂
We arrive about 1 hour before the show! First of all there was some misunderstanding with the time zone if I understand correct, so we left Gallup at 7, we should have left earlier.. and on top of that we got stuck in a line on the highway. Haha! I’m surprises we made it in time as that everything worked on stage, the microphones, in ears, guitar, everything! 😀 It must have been the double rainbow we saw on the way that brought us the luck. Or just Colorado being awesome! Honastly, amazing crowd! Thank you! Very cool venue! We loved it, we loved you! 🙂 Hope to be back soon! Btw Amaranthe is coming to Dallas soon…
View from the highway.
Day off in Gallup
We spent our day off in Gallup. Sweet town! Never been here before, it’s called Indian town because lots of Indians live there. There is an Indian reservation close to where we are located at Holiday in Suites. We all went to a Casino named RedRockCasino something… I don’t remember… The guys did some gambling, I didn’t, aren’t a huge gambling fan. Anyways we also had dinner, and to be honest maybe it was the worse dinner I ever had. I’m NOT picky at all, I usually like all kinds of food, but this was, haha, well I realized I shouldn’t have ordered fish when the nearest lake is very, very far away. So I got a peace of cheesecake for dessert, that was good, the staff was very sweet! 🙂 We hit back to the bus on Holiday In Suites parking lot, and I go inside to ask what kind of cookies they were serving earlier that day. And they were apparently cranberry-strawberry-white chocolate chip cookies. I couldn’t think of anything else than these incredible cookies. Unfortunately you couldn’t just buy them in any store, you had to order a whole box. 🙁 Buu, well all right… Then the staff, a guy named James goes: I can make some for you now, and I was like yeeeeaah! Still hungry and I got like 10 big ones, I ate 6 of them. Then we went to Denny’s, but of course I was to full to be able to eat food there after all these Cookies. 🙂 The next morning I woke up with stomach ace, haha, not so strange… Don’t know if it was the Fish or too many cookies. 😉 On the way to Denver, we realizes that we are running late. Very late…
Los Angeles
Here we go again, the second city of the tour is Los Angeles, the city of dreams as I call it. I wake up with the worst headache ever! My body and mind is probably just stressed and tensed after the long preparation for this tour followed by 12 h in an airplain, being yet ledge, sleeping in a new bed, carrying heavy bags, long bus rides in a very cold bus. So I decided I badly needed a massage to get rid of my head ache. I went to the place closest to the venue, it was named Dee Jai Thai Spa. I got myself an one hour long Thai Massage, best thing ever! My good, reminded me of when I used to do dancing 16 h a week and how important it is to be aware of all your muscles, even in the feet and in your hands. Also to stretch makes me feel so much better, and that’s exactly what Thai Massage means – stretching for the lazy. I walked out like a new person. I appreciate professional staff, they knew what they were doing. So if your in L.A I recommend you to try that place. 45 dollars for one hour + tip of course. After the treatment I went to Starbucks and had a warm Chinese green tea. There I met a fan named Anthony who I met last time we were in L.A. An hour later I hooked up with a close friend names Shay, she’s from Las Vegas and her boyfriend Mike, is currently working with us on this tour. It’s always very nice for me to get some female company, so I was very happy to meet her and her friend. I got an early birthday gift as well… Here is what I got:
Before the soundcheck i had a nice dinner at the venue and then it was soon time to start the show! Nokia Club is an amazing venue, it felt great stepping out on that stage. I could see many faces in the audience I recognize. That always makes me calm and happy! 🙂 The show went good. It wasn’t 600 people singing along like in San Francisco, but the atmosphere was very good, and we could defiantly feel the support from our fans, even though most of them weren’t able to be in the front row! 🙂 But I could still see, and hear you!! 😉 What made me sad though was that I didn’t get the change to meet my youngest fan after the show. He was there on his fathers shoulders the whole show, throwing up a Teddy Bear for Henric on stage. But it turned out he also had a gift and a birthday card he never got the chance to give to me, since we had to leave through the underground parking where no one was able to enter. How heartbreaking is that.. 🙁 Well, I hope I can make it up next time. If we ever headline that same venue I will make sure there’ll be a meet and greet. At least I got the chance to meet one other friend in the VIP section on the forth floor, David Baker, who
makes Fantastic, Unique jewelers. I got the neckless I’m wearing in the picture below. 🙂 Thank you L.A for an fantastic evening, I hope I’ll see you soon again!
SAN Francisco
So we pull up with the bus outside the venue. I walk in to this very beautiful venue, I say hello to all the people working with this tour. I meet Sharon and the rest of the guys from Within Temptation. I eat breakfast then I’ll go shopping at my favorite food store in the US called Whole Foods. :)) After spending about one hour at Whole Foods I meet up with Danny Shipman for an interview. Right after the interview with Danny and Reality Check Tv it’s time for sound check. Then putting up some makeup, and getting dressed for the show! I realizes I haven’t had time for dinner, but I’m hoping for a good show anyways. I can see its starting to be a line outside the venue that goes on till like the next block. Incredible! The venue is sold out! And here comes the crowd bomb. As soon as we step out on stage I can feel this massive support! It’s incredible!! Since this is the first time Amaranthe plays in San Francisco I might believe that plenty of Amaranthe fans were there to see us live for the first time, even though we didn’t headline this evening. I can just say that I loved the crowd. They were totally amazing, I couldn’t stop smile. I would guess I could almost hear 600 people singing along to our songs, it turned out to be better than I expected. 😀 Thank you San Fran Friends, I hope I’ll see you soon again! ❤️
Tour diary
Hello friends and family! 🙂 I promised you to give you and update about what’s going on here on the tour. So I’m starting writing my tour diary here in San Francisco where we start the tour together with Within Temptation. We arrived in San Francisco Tuesday evening. Went to IHOP to eat and then straight to bed at 9. I woke up around 4 in the morning on Wednesday, couldn’t go back to sleep so I stayed awake, went to IHOP again and then it was time to roll. 🙂 The tour bus apparently had some problems with one of the lamps, so we had to turn it in and get that fixed. We had to leave the bus for a couple of hours
so we got driven to a mal. A veeery nice mal, I did lots of shopping I’ve been longing to do. 🙂 The boys went to Hooters, I went there to pic them up and we moved on into the Big City! Took a bike cab, went on a sightseeing boat around the bay so that we could see The Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz a little closer. (I visited Alcatraz last time I visited San Francisco with Kamelot). And then we had a nice dinner after walking around checking out every corner at Fisherman’s Warf. After dinner I followed the guys to a bar so they could drink one more beer before hitting back to the bus and get some good sleep before the premier show at Regency Ballroom! Yeay! 😀
DROP DEAD CYNICAL Single and video OUT!

Birthday gift – already!??!? :)
Good Morning, I recently woke
up, pretty tired after the weekend in Norway for some reason.. Ok, on the 15:th of October I will have my Birthday. In 2 weeks I’m leaving on tour.. So, I will be on an air-plane and fly back in time, like 12 h (from USA to Japan) so, I won’t be able to celebrate my birthday, and it will only be half time. Haha!! But, today when I woke up I received a package from a friend in Milano. My favorite Victorias Secret smell! Jihaa! (We do not have VS in Sweden!!) Well, I guess I’m celebrating my birthday today then! 😀 Hihi!
